Wah Lee Industrial Corp. (3010.TT) announced June 2020 unaudited consolidated sales of NT$5,051M, a growth of 7.2% from last year, MoM growth of 11.9%. The Q2 sales reached NT$14,836M, a growth of 20.1% from Q1 and setting record high quarterly sales. The cumulative Jan.-Jun. consolidated sales reached NT$27,189M, a growth of 4.1% from the same period last year.
Wah Lee is like the “aircraft carrier” in the raw material industry and has a comprehensive product portfolio in semiconductor, optoelectronics, ICT, and PCB industries. It is also cultivating in the 5G, biomedical, EV, and ESS sectors in recent years. It is expected to continue its stable sales growth.
The 5G networks around the globe started to provide service in the 2nd half of this year. The infrastructure construction of next generation servers and 5G base stations is growing very fast. High end servers require high frequency substrates, which reply on Wah Lee to import from Japanese suppliers. The world-class search engine company expands their procurement of high end servers from Taiwanese manufacturers. Wah Lee benefits from the shifts of orders from China to Taiwan. So the related substrate sales grew substantially in the 1st half of this year.
Wah Lee’s low Dk & Df high frequency CCL (Copper Clad Laminate) has been widely applied in high end server market and in the testing PCB for wafers. The end applications are in the servers and industrial computers. Its sales have performed well in the 1H and is expected to continue its strong growth momentum in the 2H.
